NOTICE FROM NIGERIA POLICE
Application for Police Character Certificate
In the past when the High Commission sent the applications to Nigeria Police, the latter did not have a means of sending the processed papers back to Ottawa. In order to save time and meet applicant’s deadline, it has become necessary to adopt a new and faster method of processing Police Character Certificates.
With effect from 15th October, 2009, applicants should apply directly to the Nigeria Police Forensic Department at Alagbon Close, Ikoyi, Lagos, through relatives or acquaintances that are resident in Lagos. These contacts will collect the processed certificates and mail back to the applicants who will then send the certificate to the High Commission for authentication; for a fee of Cdn$10.00 only.
