New applications and payment procedures were put into effect from September 1, 2007.Applicants for Visas and Machine Readable Passports (MRP) are to apply and make the required electronic payments at the web portal for e- payment using the links below www.immigration.gov.ng or  http://portal.immigration.gov.ng. We currently do not issue e-passport at the consular section in Ottawa. After completing the application procedure for the required services, print and forward supporting documents as well as the  administrative charges specified in the checklist and requirements (click here>>Passport Requirements) to the High Commission for further processing.     The Nigerian Immigration has warned that documents issued through applications that do not conform to the new e-payment procedures will not be accepted at ports of entry.
